Soul Essence on House FM – Show 365 – 21st August 2026 – Soul Essence with Martin Gale

This week, we ease in with a melodic, soulful opening before the sunshine properly kicks in. Memi P. and Djarah get us moving with 100 Proof, Detroit Rising and Kimberly Davis keep things smooth on Good Vibrations, and Barbara Tucker brings one of the classics we love with Stay Together. Then we stir up a little Latin house party, with Harry Romero's take on Ritmo Da Rua, Mirko and Meex's Amore and the brass-led bounce of El Trompetista. Hour two heads into disco-house and familiar favourites: Todd Terry revisits Peanut Butter, Dave Lee and Maurissa Rose bring By Loves Design, and Michael Gray brings remix magic to Mystic Merlin. Atari Safari refresh an eighties favourite before Bob Sinclar and Ron Carroll take us firmly into filtered house with House Music.

Soul Essence is about the kind of house music that moves the soul as well as the feet.

Each week I bring together the best soulful house I can find, from brand new releases to classics pulled from my own collection. My sound ranges from deep house, garage, disco, Latin and funk along the way, but soul is always at the heart of it.

It’s two hours of tracks I genuinely love, selected and put together with care to share with people who feel the same.
